Curriculum

The pedagogy of the centre supports the principles and possibilities of the Early Years Learning Framework; Belonging, Being and Becoming. The guiding principles of this document are for children to feel safe, secure and for them to be respected and nurtured to reach their potential. All our educators believe that play is not only a child’s right but also the most effective way for them to discover and make sense of their world.

The principles include:

  • secure, respectful and reciprocal relationship
  • partnerships
  • high expectations and equity
  • respect for diversity
  • ongoing learning and reflective practice.

The outcomes for children are:

  • children have a strong sense of identity
  • children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • children have a strong sense of well-being
  • children are confident and involved learners
  • children are effective communicators.
