The learning journey at Friends Childcare Centre

Once your child enrols at the centre, the learning journey unfolds. The teachers and educators observe, plan, and evaluate your child’s learning and development alongside age-appropriate milestones and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Programs and learning environments draw on elements of the Emergent Curriculum, Reggio Emilia and Steiner philosophies. The combination of these showcases teaching and planning responsive to children’s interests to create meaningful learning experiences that allow children to be viewed as competent, capable learners who lead experimental learning by making, doing, creating and producing.
